Two Trades, Three Players, Six Cards
One of the concerns I had about getting back into blogging was the (felt) need to post on a regular basis. A number of things can contribute to the lack of blog productivity: work; family life; burnout; times of year when other things (like yard work) can consume your free time. But one of the biggest culprits, for me, anyway, can be lack of new items rolling in. Thankfully, a couple of recent trades off TCDB have given give me material to write about.
In more recent years (like maybe the last four or five?), I had tried to narrow the scope of my collection to just flagship Topps (base and inserts), the retail team sets) and to a lesser extent, Heritage. I've recently gone off those rails and began picking up other stuff. It certainly helps in the trade department, as it's opening up the possibility for trades that might not otherwise be taking place. TCDB us Sharpie0226 sent these two cards that I wouldn't have even considered a couple of months ago.
Inserts from the 1990s will always have a special place in my heart, so the Wrecking Crew throwback is one I'm glad to add to the binder. Stadium Club... they seem to all look the same after all these years but hey, it's a card of a guy who's going to go down as one of the better occupants of the hot corner in Braves history.
Prior to those two cards arriving, four other cards arrived in the mailbox, as TCDB user gorrister helped me finish off my 2025 Series 1 team set.
Nice cards. Ugh: that Arraez card with the City Connect Padres jersey is an eyesore.
